Painting - Rik Schelkens

As you know, I created Project Frida as a jewelry brand focused on unique pieces — and now I want to take it a step further by connecting jewelry with art.

As a tribute to my idol, Frida Kahlo, I’m starting a new chapter: creating jewelry inspired by one-of-a-kind artworks.

To kick things off, I designed my very first piece based on a painting that hangs in my own store — a true Rik Schelkens, one of a kind. (My mom wouldn’t be too happy if I sold the painting, but the ring is for sale!)

Let me introduce this special piece: an 18-carat yellow gold ring, set with a citrine and surrounded by sapphires.
